Vision Mixers Guild: Terms and Conditions 

  1. Definitions 

These are the terms used in this document, for the sake of clarity and brevity. 

  1. The “Guild” and “We” refer to the Vision Mixers Guild. 2. An “Account” refers to a Member’s relationship with the Guild. It serves at the Member’s 

representation and identity on the Website, including the “Freelance Directory.” 3. The “Website” refers to the Guild’s website at ‘visionmixers.tv’, including any subdomains, 

such as ‘2020.visionmixers.tv’, and to any services provided at or through the Website. 4. The “Member” and “You” refer to the individual person who enters into membership with 

the Guild and creates an Account, and to whom the Guild will provide the Service. 5. The “Service” refers to any promotions, advertisements of work, training opportunities, or other professional products and services provided to the Member by or on behalf of the Guild. 6. The “Membership Fee” refers to the payment made by the Member to the Guild in order to 

maintain their Membership, as laid out in section B.2. 7. The “Terms” and “Terms of Service” refers to all of the terms, conditions, and notices laid out 

in this document. 

  1. Terms of Membership 
  2. Required Information 

The Member must provide the following information, in order to create an Account: 

A valid email address that the Guild may use in order to contact the Member, and that the Member may use in order to access their Account. A valid phone number that the Guild may use in order to contact the Member regarding the use of the Website or the provision of the Service. A valid LinkedIn handle that the Guild may use in order to assess the relevance of a prospective Member’s application for membership. 

  1. Membership Fee 

Upon membership, the Member is required to pay the fee of 30 GBP to the Guild as a Membership Fee. This Fee will be billed at the point of the Member’s registration, and thereafter annually at the start of April and will permit the Member to retain their Account until the 5th April of the following year. There will be no refunds or credits for any time that the Account is unused, or for early closure of the Account. This Fee will be billed if the Account is open on the due billing date. 

  1. Account Terms 

There are a few rules that govern how an Account can be created and used: 

A Member may only create an Account representing themself. A Member may not create an Account that appears to represent any other person or organization. 

Only one person may use an Account. A Member must not share their login details with any other person. A Member may not have more than one Account. 

  1. Cancellation of Membership 
  2. The Member has the right to close their Account at any time. This can be done by using the 

contact form available at ‘visionmixers.tv/contact’ and requesting the closure of their own Account. Members may not request the closure of another Member’s Account. 

  1. The Guild has the right to terminate the Member’s Account (and thereby, the Member’s 

access to the Website) at any time, with or without cause or notice, effective immediately. 

  1. Upon the Member’s request to close their Account or the Guild’s termination of a Member’s Account, the Guild will remove all of the information from the Website that the Member has provided to the Guild, with the exceptions of: 
  2. any information that the Guild requires in order to meet it’s legal requirements, and 2. any information that may remain in encrypted backups of the Website 

within one month of the request or termination. 

4. Other Notices 

  1. Disclaimer of Warranties 

The Guild provides the Website and the Service as-is and as-available without any kind of warranty, express or implied, including (but not limited to) warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The Guild does not guarantee that the Website or the Service will meet your requirements or that the Website or the Service will be entirely error-free and accurate. The Member assumes full responsibility and risk of loss resulting from your use of the Website or the Service. 

  1. Limitation of Liability 

The Member understands and agrees that the Guild will not be liable for any damages or losses resulting from the Member’s use of the Website or the Service, the Guild’s use of any information that the Member has provided, or any unauthorized access to or alterations of the information that the Member has provided. 

  1. Changes To These Terms 

The Guild has the right to alter these Terms at any time, and will update these Terms here in this event. We will notify every Member in the event of any material changes to these Terms. 

The Guild also has the right to alter and update the Data Protection and Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify every Member in the event of any material changes to this Policy.
